The Garmin PRO 550 Plus Handheld is a simple to use GPS dog tracking device with full training capabilities like it's predecessor, the Garmin Pro 550 (training only e-collar bundle). Professional trainers and everyday dog owners can rely on this simple and rugged track and train device to help develop their working dog. The purchase is for a PRO 550 Plus Handheld ONLY. Track & train or tracking only collars are sold seperately and must be purchased in conjunction with the handheld for track or train functionality.
Customizable Training
Expand your training for up to 3 dogs (individual collars required, sold seperately), using 18 different levels of continuous or momentary stimulation, tone and vibration for a customized training. Operation of the 550 Plus is simple, with the stimulation and vibrate dial at the top of the transmitter. Use the switch to quickly select the dog for on-the-spot training and location spotting in the field.
Eyes On Your Pack
When your dog team is on the move, you can quickly see which direction they’re moving and how far they’ve gone, via the on board LCD screen, with a range of up to 9 miles. The Garmin PRO 550 Plus uses GPS and GLONASS satellite reception to locate the position of each collar.

The rechargeable LiO battery lasts up to 24 hours, for a reliable track and train throughout your hunt. The tube-shaped design of the PRO Series is easy to operate with one hand, so you can keep your eyes on the field at all times. Both the PRO 550 Plus transmitter and compatible dog collars (TT5X and TT15X) are designed to withstand the toughest environments.
Compatible with the Garmin Explore™ App
The Garmin Explore App is now compatible with the PRO 550 Plus handheld, allowing you to track up to 3 dogs with precise accuracy in real time on your compatible mobile device. You can record and store each hunt or training session, which is saved automatically to the cloud for easy access when you need it. You can view and play back individual sessions on your phone or other smart device. And color coded tracking lines let you assign a line color for each dog/collar, based on speed threshold — so you can clearly see when a dog starts the chase.
